Hello, hello! Welcome to the month of October (or what is left of it).
Things have certainly been busy in the music room the past few weeks! The Barnyard Dance was followed by an eventful Academic Night the week after. Then, our amazing 4th graders kicked off the year by performing their annual concert, "Home Means Nevada" (great job, 4th graders!).
I would like to say thank you to everyone who helped to make each of these events a success. There are many hands needed behind the scenes to make these events happen and we truly could not have had them if it was not for your support. Thank you!!!
Speaking of support, the music room at Nancy Gomes needs your help! I've entered our school into the annual Dolan Automotive "Class Project" competition to see if we can win enough money to purchase a set of risers for our concerts. Many of you already know how cramped our performance space can get during our concerts. The risers will help us reduce the amount of space needed on stage as well as make it easier to see all of the students from the audience (enter angelic chorus sounds here). The cost of the risers are $4,997 so we need to get the highest number of votes in order to win enough money!
Here's how you (and EVERYONE you know) can help:
1. Starting on October 21st, visit the Dolan Automotive website: http://www.dolanautogroup.com/blog/2013/october/17/nancy-gomes-elementary-school-mrs-cadigan.htm
2. Click on the button that says "Vote Here" to cast your vote.
3. Keep coming back and voting each day the contest is open (people can vote once a day each day the contest is open). The contest is open until Sunday, November 3rd.
4. Tell EVERYONE you know to do the same thing! Spread the word via e-mail, Facebook, phone calls, text messages, post a sign in your yard, WHATEVER WORKS FOR YOU! Voters do not need to be residents of Nevada, so feel free to let your friends/family in other states know as well
Remember: you are allowed to vote once per day so keep coming back to vote!
If you have any questions, please let me know!
Again, I thank you all for your continuous support.
Musically yours,
-Mrs. Cadigan : D
